Fat Tony has become one of the most, popular, respected and in demand
artists on both the gay and straight club scenes. Not only for his talent
but for his unique personality. He became one of the world's first Super
Models, sorry, Super DJ's !! He has continued to provide quality music
on an international scale for many years, and still holds residencies
at London's premier nightclubs.
Tony's career began 16 years ago at Playground at the Lyceum. Tony told
the promoter how bad the music was, so he was challenged to bring his
records the following week. Naturally it became his first residency. This
led Tony to open his own night, Total Fashion Victim, and then Jungle
in 1984/5, which became the first Garage and House night in London. Residencies
at the legendary Wag and Café de Paris, merely oiled this DJ machine.
From that time the list of Tony's residencies and guest sessions are just
too endless to list.
The majority of clubs worldwide have experienced the unforgettable presence
of Fat Tony, and although Tony is now based mainly in London, he still
plays at the clubbing capitals of the world, playing sets in Ibiza, New
York, Sydney, Hong Kong, Greece and Cyprus. In addition to Tony's outstanding
history of club gigs, he has played at some of the biggest celebrity parties
over his career spanning two decades, including Madonna, Pet Shop Boys,
Boy George, George Michael, Luther Vandross, Sade, Michael Jackson etc.
With a list like this you can only imagine the stories Tony has to tell
and the lifestyle he leads.
Tony now has residencies at Trade in the Lite Lounge, Heaven, Fiction
(where he spins old school House, Garage and Soul, taking people back
over almost two decades of music they love), Crash and guest sets at Big
and Clever at Velvet Rooms, but to name a few. With studio time booked,
we can expect a follow up to Tony's last hit, Men Adore a Whore by Fierce
Child released on Big Life. This and future bookings globally, will truly
take Fat Tony, or Disco Jesus, to those who know him, into another decade
